I've been teaching
English for over 20 years, but still enjoy meeting students from all over
the world. After spending 15 years in Spain where I set up and ran my
own school, I moved back to Exeter six years ago. I now live in a typical
Devon village with my partner, Jo and my daughter Nancy. I like reading
and playing squash.
Isobel Ravden Taylor
I gave up a 6-year
career in advertising to become an EFL teacher! After qualifying as a
teacher I spent the next 2 years teaching adults and children in Lisbon.
I have also taught at various busy schools in London and have now been
working at Skola in Exeter for 2½ years. I am currently studying
for a distance-learning degree in Herbal Medicine.

After my degree in
Fine Art and a TEFL course in Bristol, I worked in Osaka, Japan for 14
months. I then spent 6 months working as an EFL teacher in Sydney, Australia
and then travelled extensively around Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand
and Thailand. I'm keen to teach in England for a while and continue making
artwork in my free time.

I've been teaching
for more than 30 years but still get a lot of satisfaction out of helping
students to improve their English. I also thoroughly enjoy my current
role as the accommodation and welfare officer. I live with my husband
in a 500-year-old cottage in a hamlet in Devon, with frequent visits from
my children and grandchildren.
Bryony Holt
After two years organising
children's programmes at a hotel conference centre, I trained in TESOL
in Bournemouth. I moved to Exeter in July 1999 and began teaching English.
I enjoy learning about other cultures and have spent time in South Africa,
India, France and Germany. I'm currently studying for a diploma in TESOL.
