11-17 year olds

From 11 - 14 Years
(Key Stage 3 of the National Curriculum). Students follow a curriculum based on core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science with Information & Communication Technology, History, Geography, Music, Drama, Modern Languages (French or Spanish) and Art & Design.

From 14 - 16 Years
(Key Stage 4 of the National Curriculum). A two year examination course culminating in the International General Certifcate of Education (IGCSE). This is an international and fully equivalent version of GCSE. Courses are in English Language, Mathematics, Science and Computing with optional courses available in French, Spanish, Art & Design, Drama, Music, Humanities (History and Geography) and English Literature. Further subjects are available on request.

In Year 11
(16 years). Our staff will fully mentor and support the progession of ICS students into further and higher education. We have our own Sixth Form Centre at Bawdsey Campus which specialises in Business Studies and related subjects and we have close professional ties with local sixth form colleges.

Whilst excellence in sport is encouraged at ICS the emphasis is not on competition. Physical Education, Personal Social & Health Education (PSHE) and Citizenship together with a range of lunchtime clubs, after school activites, cultural activites in London and a number of overseas trips add to our challenging and motivating curriculum.
